We are literally, "COVID Crazy", as one guest recently called us, in that we take our state and local Heath Department guidelines very seriously and follow them to the best of our ability.
As a valued guest of The Inn at Gristmill Square, we appreciate your ongoing support. Recognizing the continued and increased uncertainty that coronavirus (COVID-19) is causing around the world, our highest priority is the health and well-being of our guests and staff. With that in mind we wanted to update you on the actions we have taken in response to the outbreak.
**We ask that everyone respect Virginia's Executive Order to wear masks indoors, especially when interacting with our staff/owners.**
Rest assured our standard cleaning routines are very thorough; however, during this time, we have increased our efforts throughout the inn at restaurant. These actions include, but are not limited to, cleaning and disinfecting hard surfaces and frequently touched items in guest rooms and throughout the public spaces of each hotel. We are also ensuring our staff have disposable wipes with them at all times to clean commonly used surfaces like phones, remotes, door knobs, etc. It’s also important to note that our cleaning materials and supplies meet or exceed industry standards. During your stay, should you stay more than one night, we are limiting housekeeping service to our guest rooms for both the safety of our employees and guests. We are minimizing touch points so that guests and employees have as little interaction as possible.
Our restaurant is also open an we are offering indoor and outdoor (weather permitting) dining. Reservations are highly recommended as we are spacing guests in the restaurant to encourage distancing per the health department. Our bar area remains closed. Drinks can be enjoyed pre or post dinner on our back deck. We do not take reservations for outside but will make a note of that request.
Our restaurant staff wears masks. The team in the kitchen standing over a hot stove/oven for hours are wearing masks. We ask that for the short amount of time you aren't seated at your table you do as well.
The focus on cleanliness and sanitation is imperative to our daily operation and has always been a top priority for our Inn. These additional measures will work to help ensure we continue to provide a safe environment for our guests.
Anyone who does not wish to comply with these requests/guidelines, or who feels like it is not yet safe enough to be around people, should not book at this time, or may cancel their stay with a 3 day notice required.
